Remembering Jane Whittington, former Co-op Radio engineer

Jane joined Co-op Radio as station engineer in the 1980s, following a stint in Africa where she contributed to the development of community radio in Mozambique.

The Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) program was launched by the Community Radio Fund of Canada and funded by the Government of Canada. The program is focusing on diverse, local communities that may be underserved in the Canadian news landscape. The goal is to increase the production of community and civic news in those areas and to make that news more accessible across the country.

First Nations Health Managers Association (FNHMA) presents a new series of Virtual Town Halls designed to get credible Covid 19 information to Indigenous front line health workers, health managers and Indigenous communities nationally.

The virtual town hall series starts this Wednesday April 14th, 2021 from 10am - 11am PDT / 1:00pm - 2:00pm weekly, EDT and happens every Wednesday at 10:00am PDT / 1:00pm, EDT, till July 3rd, 2021.

The First Nations Health Managers Association is excited to announce their newest information sharing initiative; InfoPoint. 

InfoPoint is an information sharing initiative developed for First Nations health managers. COVID-19 has created challenges for First Nations health managers in communities across the country. These challenges have given rise to questions without a clear place to ask them. InfoPoint is a help line where First Nations Health Managers may call if they have questions or are searching for resources around COVID-19.
