The 2015 Spring Member Drive is April 10 - 24! And this year, our 40th anniversary falls on April 15th 2015. We have been on-air for 40 years!
Because we're 40, why not raise the money to match our years? We've set our Spring Member Drive goal for $40,000.

Join us for a night of celebration and appreciation for alumni, current programmers and hosts, volunteers, members, guests, listeners. Everyone welcome!

The night will begin at 7:00 with a mixer event for alumni and current programmers to share stories. Folks interested in tales from our 40 years on air are welcome to join us any time from 7 - 8:30.

In 2015 -- We are 40! Special Programming

Tuesday, January 13, 7 - 8 pm will be the first of special programs to mark our 40th Anniversary on air. We've been broadcasting lives since 1975.  
 
Listen in on Tuesday for an hour of stories and music from some of the people who have been there from the beginning, or for several decades. Come on in and pull up a seat around the fire. 
 
Listen for more programs as we lead up to our anniversary date on April 15 and beyond.

In Memory of Peter Grant

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Peter Grant on December 11, 2014. Peter was a long-time volunteer and former staff member as Programming Coordinator of Co-op Radio during the 80's, as well as a board member of our Community Radio Education Society (CRES).

Halloween at Co-op Radio 2014

Happy Halloween from Co-op Radio! The last day of the Member Drive is Halloween!

Come by the station or tune in to Co-op Radio on Halloween for a spooky time!

We will be handing out candy, hosting a colouring and candy counting contest, and a 50/50 raffle from 1-8:30pm.

There will be special programming on-air perfect for handing out candy too, trick or treating, or to play at your Halloween parties from 6:30-10:30pm!

The doors will be open and we will be streaming live on 100.5FM or online at www.coopradio.org.

Vancouver Folk Music Festival - July 18-20

Co-op Radio is proud to support the 37th Annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival, happening July 18-20 at Jericho Beach Park.
 
The festival will feature over 60 acts including Joan Baez, Andrew Bird and the Hands of Glory, Amos Lee and Mary Lambert to Ozomatli and Mauritania’s Noura Mint Seymali and many more!

The Red Jam Slam Society, in collaboration with Co-op Radio 100.5 FM and the Heartwood Community Café, will hold a talent show fundraiser on Saturday June 21st.

Join us in celebrating our Station RelocationSunday July 6th 1-5pm at our new location,  2014 Wall Street  in Hastings-Sunrise.

Intro to Radio: Aboriginal Perspectives - June 12th

On Thursday June 12th at the Vancouver Aborignal Friendship Centre, CJSF 90.1FM will be presenting an event about community and public broadcasting of Aboriginal voices.
 
Join in for stories and a Q&A from amazing local broadcasters about the possibilities of community and public broadcasting, especially when it comes to highlighting aboriginal, first nations and indigenous voices, who are often marginalized in mainstream media.
