Vancouver Co-op Radio’s 2021 Spring Fundraising Drive
Thursday April 15th to Sunday April 25th, 2021
Mark your calendars for Vancouver Co-op Radio’s 2021 Spring Fundraiser.
It's that time again! This Spring marks 46 years of Vancouver Co-op Radio and our annual Spring Fundraiser will run from Thursday, April 15th to Sunday, April 25th, 2021.
This spring, we hope to raise enough money to upgrade all of our old studio and office equipment. A total upgrade will cost $100,000. To help, we plan to apply for the BC Gaming Commission’s Capital Projects Grant. If our application is successful, they will fund up to 50% of the funds needed as long as we show that we have already raised 50%. This means that we need to raise $50,000 before we can apply! Here are just a few things that we’d love to do:
Upgrade studio desks to control sound transmission and isolate unwanted noise from microphones
Upgrade the acoustic panels in each studio to reduce echo in voice recordings
Upgrade as much of our old studio equipment as possible such as mixers, computers, phone links etc.
Replace old furniture in the studios and offices
And much more!
